Why Mindset Is The Foundation of Your Fertility Journey!

Today’s post is written by Coach Poonam Gole; a fertility mindset coach based out of Toronto, ON. She has an incredible story of her own and has worked with and continues to work with women and their mindsets as they embark on their fertility journey.

Why Mindset Matters

As a woman struggling with fertility challenges; uncertainty, lack of accurate information, and the constant reminder of time running out are probably all too familiar to you. It gets more frustrating and disappointing when we see all odds stacked against us and no success in sight. We long for our baby, stop living our lives and suffer through the process. Today I want to tell you that you don’t have to.

Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional!

Yes, this journey is full of challenges and pain, but you can live and love this journey for your baby and lead it with confidence and joy!

The key is your mindset!

Me and my clients are living examples!

My Story

Today I want to share my story with you.

Defying all odds, I manifested my miracle with a little help from science, an unwavering partnership with the universe and a deep trust in my body and mind.

My journey started a few years back with me going from, “I never want to have kids” to saying, “Maybe it’s not a bad idea. Let’s try” at the age of 30.

Who knew it would happen on the first try; we were pregnant, overjoyed, and thrilled. It felt unreal. How did we get so lucky?! We fell in love with our future child and started dreaming and making plans about our family together. Unfortunately, life had a different path in mind for us. I miscarried and we were devastated. I still remember the emptiness, a different kind of unrealness I felt back then. As if this wasn’t my life. It was a nightmare I was going to wake up from any time. But it wasn’t. It was as real as it gets.

We grieved.

My body healed and my heart tried!

So began one of the toughest but one of the most rewarding journeys of my life.

We struggled for years to have our rainbow baby. I was already a mother with no child; mother to an angel. In my journey to manifest my baby, my life transformed, I became the mother I never knew I could be, yet oddly always knew I wanted to be.

During the first few months, we tried very hard. We tried all the supplements, diets, and tracking systems to conceive.

That “maybe” had turned into, “When will it be my time?” As months went by, hope dwindled. Every negative pregnancy test broke our hearts a little. It led to a lot of grief, strain on our relationship and suffering. I later realized our approach was completely unproductive.

We were “working hard” on all the wrong fronts. We were trying to make shifts in the physical world when we needed to make shifts in our mind space.

Our thoughts, our beliefs, our emotions. Rather our mindset was what was holding us back from being found by that beautiful soul looking for his parents.

Being a life coach, I dived into mindfulness and hired various coaches through my fertility journey. I focused on the most painful aspects of this journey and reframed and transformed them into my greatest strengths. Here’s how:

  • I stopped comparing my life with others and instead of shutting myself off, I embraced love over fear!
  • I learned how to shut off the negative influences in my life, nurture positive relationships and create a super support circle.
  • I learned how to strongly believe in and advocate for my body and myself no matter what the statistics said.
  • Our relationship thrived and we communicated better than ever (which is the foundation of co-parenting)
  • I became fearless, deeply trusting in myself and the power I had to create my future. Manifest my baby into this physical world.

And it happened.

After all the trying, failing, grieving, loving, forgiving, accepting and trusting. After all the IVF treatments, I only had 2 follicles that were retrieved from which only 1 became a viable embryo to be transferred.

And he stuck! Defying all the statistics, naysayers and fear-mongers! After years of multiple treatments, our son came to us against all odds; our miracle found his way to us.

My Thoughts on the Journey

Through this journey, I became a mom with a strong growth mindset which I continue to improve in my journey into motherhood.

I carry and practice all the lessons I learned and that supports me through it all. Now and forever.

Motherhood has no destination! It is all about the journey!

The only question is – how are you living your motherhood journey?

Today, I teach women how to master their mindset to manifest their miracles and become the conscious mothers they are meant to be!

If they can do it, so can you!

Begin today!
